Simulated account: what it means for the reward
On a simulated account orders don't reach a market, and the balance isn't money. Yet you may receive a reward. Here is how the two fit together.
What a simulated account is
Your orders are executed on our platform and don't reach any market. Prices are reference prices, taken from a third party, and may differ from those of other sources.
The balance, profit and losses on the account aren't money and can't be withdrawn. You don't have an account with a broker and you don't own financial instruments.
This holds for every account, the rewards account included.
Why simulated
The evaluation measures how you manage risk and whether you keep to rules published in advance. For that, orders don't need to reach a market, and you can't lose more than the price you paid.
Costs count on the simulated account too: you buy at the ask and sell at the bid, with a small platform markup added to the price, you pay a commission per lot, and overnight swap is paid or earned. The exact values are in each symbol's specification.
So what is the reward
The reward is an amount we pay you, by bank transfer, under the contract for the rewards account. It is worked out from the simulated profit, but it doesn't come from a trade on a market: we pay it from the firm's own money.
You can request it only from the rewards account, once you have verified your identity, accepted the contract and registered an IBAN in your name.
How it's worked out, with an example
A made-up example, not a promise: you have a $10,000 2-Step simulated rewards account. 30 days after the first trade, the balance is $10,600, so the simulated profit is $600. Your share is 80%, which is $480.
The first payout is on level 1, 4% of the capital, which is $400. Your share goes over the level, so you receive $400. The account goes back to $10,000, and the $80 over the level isn't paid or carried over.
If on the second payout you again have $600 of simulated profit, you're on level 2, 7%, which is $700. Your share fits within the level, so you receive the full $480. The amounts are gross, in USD: if the law requires us to withhold tax, you get the net amount, and if you're resident in Romania, the payment leaves in lei.

- Simulated profit

- Your share, 80%

- The request's level, 4% of the capital
- $400.00
- Request amount
- $400.00
- Over the level: not paid or carried over
- $80.00
You reached the level: you get all of it. $80.00 is over the level and isn't paid or carried over.
An example of the sum on a simulated account, not a promise. The amounts are gross, in USD: if the law requires us to withhold tax, the net amount is paid. The first payout can be requested 30 days after the first trade on the rewards account, then at most every 14 days.
What can stop a reward
Each request is checked and then approved by two different people, within 5 working days. If we refuse it, you see the reason in your account and can appeal it once, within 7 days. A reward is no longer paid if, for example:
- you hit a loss limit before the request;
- the account had no trade for 30 days;
- you used a practice the Terms forbid, for example opposite trades across several accounts;
- the payment for the evaluation was refunded or disputed with the bank.
How we talk about it
The rewards account is simulated too, and that's how we present it. If you publish your results, don't present the account as a real one: it's a rule in the Terms, and it keeps us all fair.
